5 Blogging Tips to Take to the Bank
Experiences Teaches Lessons Life Cannot
Technically, my eBooks nabbed the feature on Market Watch, as the outfit just picked up my post via syndication. But ya get the drill aka point.
Now how did I do it? Seems impressive to most bloggers, likely. What’s the hack to being featured on world famous, world renowned, exclusive sites?
Here’s how I did it: I gave 10 years and 15,000 hours to blogging, so blogging gave me a bunch in return.
The greater the commitment, the greater the reward. Blogging is a mirror. I remembered that, last night, as I wrote a guest post for Don at Personal Growth Channel, at 12:15 AM:
Do You Respect Success Progression?
If you keep diving into fear, while developing a more fearless nature, you give more, and more, and more and more, to blogging. And more, and more and more. You just keep blogging for thousands of hours. Then, after you generously help folks for hundreds of hours, someone asks you to guest post for them. Or maybe someone features you. Cool! Awesome! Of course, the guest post invite and/or feature flows from a newbie blogger, or, from a lesser known blogger not too established. Why? Give a little bit, and blogging gives a little bit, to you, in return.
As you generously give thousands of hours to blogging, serving people freely, blogging gives more and more generously, to you, in return. I see blogging as a mirror. At 12 AM last night after watching some Narcos on Netflix, I could have comfortably hit the sack. But I wanted to give a bit more to blogging and I intended to inspire Don’s audience a little bit more.
Although I am grateful and humbled by appearing on two such iconic sites on the same day, I’ve GIVEN so much to blogging, I’d have to be brain dead to be completely surprised, floored and shocked by the features. Why? I have given 15,000 thousand hours of my life to blogging. Hell yeah, I know my blogging stuff. Hell yeah, of course blogging will keep giving me more and more, which I gratefully and humbly accept.
Me being shocked by the features would be like Lebron James being shocked and surprised at making the NBA, after he patiently practiced basketball for 10,000 plus hours. Do something for years, and you do it well and confidently, and of course, you are not surprised when your confidence and commitment reflects back to you as worldly success.
In essence, I was featured on both famous sites not on a SINGLE day, but over 15,000 hours. 15,000 blogging hours of work, practice, skills-development, creating, connecting, mental science, and a full on, flat out, blanket commitment to blogging raised me enough to where I popped up on the radar screen of contributors from both sites, in addition to me being featured on sites like Forbes, Virgin, Entrepreneur and Fox News.
Being featured on top sites is possible for you….probable….and, a certainty…..after you put in thousands upon thousands of blogging hours, like me. Give. Get. People care not about lame excuses for not blogging. Either you blog, or do not blog. Blogging is my mirror. I get, according to how I give. So since I gave 15,000 generous hours to blogging, blogging keeps giving me back sweeter prosperity in return. Mirror effect. Commitment effect.
Short cuts? Nope. None exist. As one of the few blogging tips bloggers on earth who garners major media coverage on a grand scale, no short cuts exist to landing world renowned features. Generous, persistent, patient work over years yields success. Being up after midnight after a long day blogging, to write and place a guest post – when I could just as easily mail it in – brings blogging success.
I wrote 5 guest posts yesterday before writing #6 at midnight. Plus I published 5 posts to my blog; text, video, podcast, guest post. Sure I could have coasted into beddy bye….but I wrote and published the guestie. Secret to happiness. Secret to success.
If you want to get, ya better give.
Blogging is impersonal but highly generous to generous bloggers.
See blogging as a mirror.
Accelerate your success by putting in the generous service and time.
